Turkey has said it will participate as a founding member of the planned Defence, Security and Resilience Bank.
Financing security capacity
The proposed institution is intended to mobilise capital for defence production, supply-chain resilience and related infrastructure. Turkey’s participation would connect its expanding defence industry with a new multinational financing platform.
The bank remains an emerging initiative, so governance, membership, lending rules and safeguards will determine its practical impact. Ankara’s decision also reflects a wider shift as governments search for ways to fund long-term security needs without relying solely on annual national budgets.
