Türkiye and the European Union have reaffirmed their intention to strengthen economic and financial relations through their high-level economic dialogue.
The talks addressed cooperation at a time when energy insecurity, regional conflict and changing trade policies are placing pressure on European and Turkish businesses.
Both sides have extensive commercial ties through the customs union, which allows many industrial goods to circulate without ordinary customs duties.
Officials emphasized the value of continued communication on investment, financial stability, trade barriers and the conditions needed for sustainable growth.
The dialogue does not by itself resolve longstanding political disagreements or modernize the customs union, but it provides a formal channel for addressing practical economic concerns.
Future progress will depend on concrete follow-up, including improved market access, predictable regulation and cooperation on green and digital investment.
